I'm 25 and moving to Las Vegas, where they just opened a club. I have been considering a job there, as being a Bunny has always been a very secret passion of mine. I always viewed it as a form of feminine empowement, not objectification.

My first priorty is to my career, special effects make-up artist which I just graduated from school with a degree in.

I was wondering how you all felt on the subject and what would your reactions be to your daughters becoming Bunnies?

I need feedback because I fear my father's reaction shant be pretty.

Thank you ladies.

if my daughter was to be in a situation to become a playboy bunny, as i was so privelidged years ago i would be so happy.

to be part of such a great organisation and to learn such diverse life skills, is certainly a privelidge.

unfortunately, some folk cannot see beyond the tits and bums from the magazine.

working at the club is nothing like this.

he should be happy and proud of you if you get accepted. explain it to him though.

let him know the difference, and what is expected from you in your role as a bunny. make it clear what your job entails and that you are in no danger. i can also understand his concerns if he is not totally in the loop so to speak of your job role.

he may see it as something seady and wrong. invite him to go with you for dinner one night at the club, so he can see for himself.

good luck.

Playboy Enterprises have long planned a return to the UK.

Around 1999, when they opened the ultimately unsuccesful casino on Rhodes, Greece, they hoped to open future European Playboy Clubs. They interviewed women in London, Paris and Munich for Bunny positions at the new club (to much media interest).

Alas the return of the Bunny in Greece was brief, but better luck followed seven years later in Vegas.

Following the success of "Playboy at the Palms", openend in October 2006, Playboy plan to open a few new clubs worldwide but more as franchies or partnerships with companies who have experience and an existing strong market share in the gaming / hospitality industry. That being the successful model in Vegas. Playboy provides the world famous brand and theme, the Palms supply the expertise and foothold into a competitive market.

Years before they openend the new Playboy Casino in Vegas, here in Britain, Playboy agreed plans for a new London Playboy Casino with Ladbrokes (their one time nemesis in the UK). But when Ladbrokes was sold to Hilton and then the Gala Group these plans for a new Playboy Club were shelved.

Playboy has continued to search for other UK partners and is looking at various locations around central London. They are also keeping an eye on any actions the UK Government takes on gambling. As indeed are the giants of the US gaming industry.

The next Playboy Club / Casino is due to open on the island of Macau in China as one of the companies participating in a much bigger hotel / entertainment complex. Playboy repeatedly applied for a license in Shanghai, but the local gaming authorities refused them each time. Macua is the alternative.

One last piece of boring business blather, the building that housed the original London Playboy Club, at 45 Park Lane was offered for sale to Playboy back in the late sixties, but they opted for a lease agreement instead.

If Playboy had bought the property at the price offered then, they could have sold it for many times it's value when Playboy was forced out of Britain in 1981. One of the Sultan of Brunei's sprats owns it now. Alas.

I firmly believe, if the fiasco of the Casino Wars between Playboy and Ladbrokes had been avoided, there would still be a Playboy Club at 45 Park Lane, Playboy Enterprises would be in better financial health, and most importantly of all, as far as I'm concerned, there would still be British Bunnies! Very Happy

I'm convinced there will be a new club in London opening in the near future, and as soon as that happens I am going there to be a bunny. Bunny It's a life long dream... if it wasn't so hard for foreigners to work in the USA I'd be in Vegas right now. Very Happy

The initial investigation into Playboy's UK Casinos centered around the extension of credit to gamblers, which was illegal in the UK.

But during the investigation, Playboy in America summoned Victor Lownes to explain himself and then sacked him. The Police and gaming authorities in the UK, already investigating the credit infractions, regarded his sacking as proof that the casinos were not being run from within Britain but by the American parent company. Again, this was illegal in the UK. All casinos on these shores had to be controlled from within the UK.

Some believe if Lownes hand't been sacked by Playboy, then the casinos may not have closed. I don't know for sure. If any one does, please respond.

I am also not sure if the gaming laws have changed in Britain to allow foreign companies to run casinos in Britain. Perhaps not, which is probably why Playboy are looking for UK partners for any new venture.

I really don't care for any form of gambling, but I would like to see Bunnies back in Britain.
