Hi,

Does anyone remember Bunny Jaime?

We went to the Derby together, when 'the minstrel' won and had a great time at the fair after.

I'd like to say 'hello'.

Regards,

David Smythe, Inspector 1976/79

Yes, I can remember Bunny Jaimie.

Did you know Leah? She was there too, and I think Bunny Gwen and Janine. I was most probably at the same race meet too. I have some great photos from the day with jaimie wearing a cop's bobby helmet.

What a magnificent time in my life!

Let me know if you can remember me. I had long auburn hair and a very wacky sense of humour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well didnt we all???????????????

Great to read everyones messages.

Lets keep them all coming and rake up more fantastic memories.

Pepper (Claire) Very Happy

Hi Leah,
Thanks for your hello, Yes I remember you, and also now, Jaime and the ploicemans hat, as you say in your very well written 'Biog', Great times. and the best thing for me was that you were all so beautiful, and fun to work with. Do you remember that we would give the punters nicknames, after famous people that they might look like, so we could identify them to each other. I remember coming to a roulette to inspect after a break, and the dealer,I think bunny Kate, said that a guy who looked like Donald Sutherland was playing 2 tables, so I had to watch his bets. It was only later that we both found out it was Donald sutherland, Embarrassing as we had been talking about his 'Namesake' quite loudly! war stories eh, I'll bet we've all got lots.
We should start a remember this, Page. I think it would be interesting
regards to all

Hi Again, were you dealing when the blind saudi prince used to play roulette. He used to walk down Park Lane, with Thousands in cash, in a plastic carrier bag, with one of his wifes, and then sit and call out bets on the roulette until it was all gone. Good job we were honest! Also were you one of the girls, that 'Abdul' used to annoy and always put an 'S' at the end of a name.

I used to work with Tom Naughton, Robin Davis, Tony Shaw, Rob Dofort, Tony Love,Joan and many many more.

see what you have done, Don't get me started

Hi
Just logged on to this website for the first time and to my surprise saw my old 'bunny name' mentioned. I was Bunny Jamie, started in 1976 as a croupier bunny at London, same course as Bunnies, Charmaine, Miranda, and Celine (sister to cocktail Elaine). I think there might be some confusion as there was also a Bunny Jaimie (cocktail I think). However, I do remember the Derby day (seem to remember we arrived in a helicopter) and my only regret is not having any photos. Suspect you are refering to the other one as I was fairly low profile and boring in those days, as my old bunny friend Robin (now you will remember her!!) keeps reminding me.
Good to read the banter and be reminded of some unique times.
Nee Bunny Jaime

Hi there, Bunny Jamie,
You must be the other Bunny Jaime, confusing isn't it? I drove to Derby with Jaime and went to the fairground after, then drove home. This Bunny Jaime was staying in a mews flat just off Marble Arch, and I am sure I remember she was also doing modelling at that time. Anyway as you say good days, whichever bunny you were, I remember Bunnies: Tia, Charmaine, Elaine, Celine, Marlon, kate, Gillie (who married Robin davis)and others and you were all lovely
regards
David Smythe - (Inspector, then)

Surprised i vividly remember the dread i would feel when i turned up for a shift(when i was a croupier, prior to going to cocktail) and erin (bunny mum) would say i had to go to B level!!!!! Amaze i hated dealing to mr. tahir, remember him? he would always threaten to kill you if he lost!!!!!he was so nice to serve, as a cocktail bunny but oh boy..nasty pasty when gambling.
i remember so well the arabs who had all those pockets in their coats stcked with those pink plastic bags with 1000.00pounds a piece in them...i was happy just to get that close up to one of those pink bags(when empty) hahaha,
so many characters.so many stories......it is so good to be able to share with friends who were there. these stories are not the kind you can easily share , unless you were actually there.
it was always such a bun fight leaving through the staff entrance in the wee small hours of the morning ...the local prostitutes used to think we were trying to steal their beat, and the punters hanging around looking for action used to think we were there for them too.!hahahahahaha.
taking our lives into our own hands, it was just a quick dash to the car, lock doors and head for home.

heaven help us when we had to park in that car park!it was like being on the set of a seedy porn movie, with all the action that was going on!
oh boy. what a great life and what fabulous experience.i had such a good time at playboy. it certainly gave me excellent grounding for the surprises which life had in store for me. i am sure that so many would agree.
great talking to you dave. i dont mind what you call me. Laughing but thank you for realising the mistake.
unbelievable that the other jaimie posted. what a great coincidence.
i am going to locate the pic of the other jaimie in the bobbys helmet and have alan post it in my photos.

hope you are well.

Hi you two, yes that must have been me after all - just got confused about the mode of transport! I did arrive at one promotion based at a race course, obviously not that one. I lived in Connaught Mews/Marble Arch (now defunct) and in response to the model label - not strictly correct. I think a photographer from a local and non descript local rag took a shine to me and published a few photos in his paper - that was my sole claim to 'modeling' fame.

What I find hard to believe is that I joined Playboy 30 years ago!! Scarey or what. For many years I did not reveal my bunny heritage to work colleagues as I thought it might impact on my credibility. All these years down the line and the reverse is true as amazingly it appears to have some retro cachet and shows the youngsters at work that the old witch has got a rock and roll streak somewhere!

Lovely memories - can only wonder what has happened to all the bunnies (and guys) that I was so fortunate to have worked with. Did attend a Clermont reunion about 4 years ago and Marissa was there, still looking so striking. Someone told me Tom Naughton had died and Celine I still see occasionally (lovely as ever|). Must stop chattering - love to all.
