I just wanted to let you all know that my boss and his business partner in another ventrue, who happens to be the brother of one of of NINE group and VIP in the Playboy venture, did attend the club this past weekend. It is not as all of us older bunnies might remember it to be. Of course the bunnies are beautiful, but the club is pretty much open to the public, and the club is constructed as one huge living room.
I am hoping we might have a reunion there one of these years.
To those of you remembering to get 35% of all you sold on the floor, drinks, mugs and such, imagine selling a bottle of Louie XVlll for the going price of $5,000.00?
Would have made my feet stop hurting. Bunny
Best to all and kisses to you Alan.

Thank you for your report Linda.

I think the Playboy Club at The Palms is a sensible move by Playboy Enterprises. It's a (necessarily) tentative step back into the nightclub and gaming business. They can use the Palms and Maloofs' expertise and existing market foothold in the industry whilst gauging the new generation's reaction to the Bunny/Playboy Club concept.

Should the new club/casino prove successful Playboy will look to expand abroad with franchises or other partners. Christie Hefner has announced London and Machau are the next likely locations. A Shanghai Playboy Club was planned, but the local authorities there are resistant.

The old era in which there was a Playboy Club in every major US city and town is long gone, but there must be markets elsewhere. Hopefully Playboy can identify and successful conquer them.

Particularly Japan. It's always seemed ironic to me that a country that has many ersatz Bunny clubs doesn't still have a REAL Playboy Club. (It used to have three: Tokyo, Sapporo and Osaka).

Anyway, so long as they open (at least) one in Britain, I'll be hoppy, er, happy. Very Happy Playboy Logo

Wave Playboy Logo hi everyone. just a big cheery hello, prior to christmas.

the silence on here is a clear indication that, altho i am sure we all think of our playboy past and old friends etc.from time to time, we have allowed ourselves to become too old and busy to take time to peruse the site.

maybe it is the busy season.

anyway, to all ex playboy staff all around the world who read this, have a fantastic christmas and lets all pray for a more peace filled new year for our world.

love
pepperx

an extra big hug to you allan.

Hi Pepper,

A cheery hello to you, as well! And as we begin another Holiday season, let's pray for our troops to return home safely and as you say, pray for a peaceful world.

I have to make a few comments. They are not meant to rile anyone. It is just my own observation.

There has always been silence on this site. It has nothing to do with the busy season. I have never understood it. Alan, this wonderful man, has given us this great site to re connect with old friends and revive our memories of our glory days.....and it seems, with the exception of a handful of people, no one wants to participate. Look at the Chatter Cafe. Then look at the "views"and the "replies". It shows how many members are reading the posts, but not very many are jumping in to reply. The Chatter Cafe was created, in an attempt to inspire members to join in the conversation. It doesn't seem to have worked.
I for one, will never consider myself too "old" or "busy" to participate on this wonderful site, which Alan has given us. It is discouraging, to say the least, that more people do not get involved.

Alan is a doll, to keep this site up, in my opinion. It takes time, money and effort on his part. His efforts should be rewarded, with more participation. One day, he may decide, it is just not worth the effort. And then there will be some vocalization, I am sure.

Thanks Pepper for bringing this subject up. This has bothered me for quite some time. The members of this web site, should not rely on the few members who do participate, to carry it. If they continue to do so, some day they may log on to "observe" and there will not BE a site to observe. There are so many ways to contribute. Please try.

Lately, I find myself going for days, without checking the site, when I used to check it daily. I know that when I do check it, it will probably be the same as it was weeks before. Sad.

Love,
Sandy Bunny
