Hello! My name is John Harrison. I am an author currently conducting research for a book about the Beatles. I need your help desperately. The book will be a reference guide to all the places in America visited by the group during both their group and solo years.

Here's where you and the Playboy Club come in.

My research suggests that the Beatles visited the New York Playboy Club during their first U.S. visit in February of 1964. I'm not quite sure which day they visited, but I've narrowed it down to these three dates.

Friday, February 7, 1964
Saturday, February 8, 1964
Sunday, February 9, 1964

I am hoping that someone who posts here will know for sure the correct date. If you worked at the club back then, I'd love to read your thoughts on the Beatles visit. What was the club like at that time?

I have seen a picture of George Harrison with Astrid Schulz. His hair is slightly longer than what he was sporting in 1964. This leads me to believe that the Beatles may have visited a second time in either 1965 or 1966. Can anyone confirm with an exact date, and any memories? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to email me your information at john@klup.com.

If you give me any information, I would like to acknowledge you in my book. Please give me a propper way of addressing you, with name and title. Very Happy

Thank you for the information. What is VIP magazine? I am unfamiliar with it. Do you have any idea how I could get a copy? Does the text in the magazine say anything about the date the Beatles/John Lennon visited the Playboy Club?

Plus, can ANYONE give me the address for the club, complete with zip code, and what is at that location now? I appreciate all the help. Very Happy

Playboy Logo
They entered the club right after shift change - Bunny Cheryl and I got to escort them up in the elevator. They walked to the club - so did they stay at the Plaza? Let me think about this and I'll get back to you and tell you who waited on them.

I think Susan Sullivan recounts in The Bunny Years that she served The Beatles.

You could try contacting her through her management/agent.

There's also a photo of John and Cynthia Lennon leaving the New York Playboy Club.

I am sure they must have visited other Playboy Clubs too as did many other touring bands including The Rolling Stones, The Who and Led Zeppelin.

Elton John, Sonny & Cher, Tina Turner and The Velvet Underground (true!) all played in Playboy Clubs.

And of course, to complete the trivia, Debbie Harry and Dale Bozzio were also Bunnies.
